The City of Philadelphia held an Open House on Wednesday night at the Finnegan Playground in the Gray’s Ferry neighborhood to receive public comment on the Circuit trail segment called the Christian to Crescent Connector it has designed to close the last gap between Southwest and Northwest Philadelphia on the Schuylkill River Trail.
This $36 million project has received funding from USDOT, PennDOT, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and the William Penn Foundation, although a funding gap still exists. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2020 and take two and half years.
You can take a look at the alignment and schematic design here.
