Biking for Fun or Sport

Whether you’re looking for a casual ride to get some exercise and clear your head, or you’re looking to get some intense training in, the region offers many resources.

Bike Shop Rides

Your local bike shop can be a great place to find ride buddies. Many bike shops offer group rides that explore the region’s bike routes. Check our bike shops page to find shops that run group rides.

The Central Bucks Bicycle Club (CBBC) was established in 1975 to promote the sport of recreational cycling and long distance bicycle touring in Bucks County, PA. Come out and discover the less-traveled back roads of Bucks as well as nearby Hunterdon County, NJ. Regular cycling activities include: evening and weekend bicycle rides (both road and mountain) throughout the year, overnight bicycle trips, and week-long excursions as well as monthly tailgate rides (all-category rides which conclude with food and drinks as well as social activities). Annual events include the No-Name Century ride and picnic, club banquet, holiday party, and the fall Covered Bridges Ride, which hosts more than 2,000 riders each year.

QCW Cycling

  • A USA Cycling affiliated club focused on helping new riders learn to race and emphasizing fun throughout the entire experience. Membership is open to male and female riders of all racing categories and age groups. Their underlying mission is to promote the development of confidence and skill in new and younger riders. QCW Cycling utilizes the combined skills and resources of our members to cultivate the character-building traits necessary to succeed in competitive cycling. They are a club that takes racing very seriously but places camaraderie above all else. On and off our bikes, they are friends who enjoy spending time together and welcome new faces whether it be at the start line of races, on organized group rides or at our club outings.

Guy’s Racing Club

  • Guy’s Racing Club, established in 1995 with support of the bike shop founded by Guy Pacitti, is made up of men and women dedicated to pursuing their love of riding and racing. We have grown to nearly 100 members and have consistently challenged in race series within the Mid-Atlantic region. Centered in Philadelphia and stretching across Southeastern PA and Southern NJ, our membership ranges from budding racers to multi-time state champions, and enjoy all the disciplines of competitive cycling. Club members contribute by volunteering, from trail maintenance to hosting our two annual races: the Neshaminy Classic mountain bike race and Whirlybird ‘Cross. We reach out to new members who would like to share in our fun and contribute to our future successes.
