Local citizens get the hivemind going to give us feedback on the alignment.
This past Sunday, over 30 residents of Narberth and Lower Merion, rightly concerned about the area’s walk/bikeability, got together for brunch to learn about our newest program: TASCC. Standing for “Technical Assistance for Suburban Circuit Communities,” the goal of TASCC is connect more communities to The Circuit, our regional network of bike trails.
While The Circuit connects over 100 communities in our region, there are over 200 left without safe (and non-motorized) access to the network. Narberth borough is just such a place. As TASCC’s first pilot project, we’ll aim to get downtown Narberth connected to the Cynwyd Heritage Trail via existing “low stress” roadways, as designated by the DVRPC’s “LTS” dataset.

A great add-on benefit is that we discovered that the best alignment would also take us right through several key sites in Lower Merion Township, thus improving bike/ped access to residents and users of several key community amenities.
