As you probably know, the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia holds Supporter Socials on the first Wednesday of the month, every month. The socials are usually at our office, and always feature free beverages, food, and a special guest speaker.
On Wednesday, November 1, the Bicycle Coalition will host Jennifer Barr, SEPTA’s Senior Long Range Planner, who will discuss the transit agency’s cycle-transit plan.
SEPTA released a Cycle-Transit Plan in April 2015, which serves as the Agency’s blueprint for accommodating Philadelphia’s growing bicycling culture. The focuses of the plan are bikes to transit, bikes at transit, and bikes on transit. The Bicycle Coalition and SEPTA have long worked together to figure out better ways to accommodate cyclists and transit riders who utilize multiple modes of transportation in their commutes. As many know, the Bicycle Coalition successfully worked with SEPTA decades ago to get bikes on buses, and
Barr will talk about this plan, and take questions, at our Supporter Social on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
You should come. It will be at Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia office (1500 Walnut St., Suite 1107) on Nov. 1, at 6pm. As noted, beverages and snacks will be provided.
