The vicious rivalry between San Diego and Philadelphia[1. This is not, to our knowledge, actually a thing.] is being taken up a notch this month with Philly’s 1st annual Bikes & Beer ride. This is the East Coast iteration of a very popular ride in San Diego and local organizer Sam Accardi is bringing it to a town with more than double the rate of bicycle commuting per capita. (Your move, Saint Joe.)

The social, all-abilities ride takes participants through four stops within Philadelphia to sample locally-brewed beer. (This is not a pub crawl; nobody is getting drunk.) Twenty percent of the proceeds will be donated to support our work, so what more reason do you need?

Sunday September 28th
Staggered starts between 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM

Want to participate but don’t want to pay for a ticket? You can volunteer to help the event run smoothly; contact Katie Pinder to learn how you can volunteer and ride for free.
