We’re proud to announce that we’ll be hosting a better mobility forum for the Pennsylvania suburbs on Saturday November 17th 2018 at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) in Norristown.
Tentatively titled “Suburban Active Transportation 2018: Connecting Southeast Pennsylvania Communities via Roads, Sidewalks, Circuit Trails, and Emerging Technologies,” the event will be an opportunity for Pennsylvania advocates to get in the same room with officials from Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties, as well as from PennDOT.
We will have panels that will discuss the status of Circuit Trails, improving road and sidewalk connectivity for vulnerable road users, bike/ped paradigm shifts at the municipal level, as well as how e-bikes and shared mobility technologies can transform suburban transportation.
We searched long and hard to find the best possible facility not only in terms of amenities, but location: MCIU is directly adjacent to the Norristown Transportation Center and the Schuylkill River Trail, as well as several parking garages. Regardless of how you plan to get there, we’ve got you covered!
Wondering “what about Jersey?” We’re planning a similar forum for the NJ suburbs for November of 2019, and we welcome people from all over our region to attend both events!
Stay tuned for the full agenda and ticketing info!
