On January 25th, the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) Board adopted regionally selected and recommended statewide projects that were identified by DVRCP’s Regional Technical Committee (RTC) with Transportation Alternative Set-Aside (TASA) funding in Pennsylvania. TASA is funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and has been set aside for large Metropolitan Planning Organizations by population. In total, the program provided approximately $15.5 million TASA funds for projects in the DVRPC region and at least $28+ million statewide. The Circuit Trails received $5.26 million in total with an additional $5.35 million recommended to other trail related projects.
In case you missed it, members of the Circuit Trails Coalition published a blog in December with a comprehensive list of dozens of Circuit Trails projects that were awarded a total of $41.7 million in 2023. This major funding win is critical to the development of the network and moving the Circuit forward to reach the Coalition’s campaign goal of 500 completed miles by 2025.
Below are the listed projects that were selected by the DVRPC RTC and later adopted and approved by the Board to move these projects forward. The full presentation can be accessed here for the full list of projects and more information.
