This Sunday is both Mother’s Day (you’re welcome, in case you forgot) and also our 2nd annual CycloFemme bike ride! Join us Sunday morning for a free community bike ride beginning and ending in Clark Park in West Philly.
What is CycloFemme?
CycloFemme is a socially-driven grassroots celebration of women on bikes (learn more at cyclofemme.com). Its annual Mother’s Day ride unites riders, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity or bicycle preference to share in the joy of cycling. Year round, CycloFemme’s global community inspires and empowers other women by making their passion public and the joy in cycling contagious. This year 285 rides in 25 countries will “honor the past, celebrate the present, and empower the future of women in cycling.”
Philadelphia’s CycloFemme ride is a collaboration between our Women Bike PHL program and the Sturdy Girls Cycling Club. The details:

Helmets required
Meet in Clark Park at 10AM
Choose your ride (all are no-drop and 60-90 minutes):
- Beginner (slow, staying in the neighborhood)
- Intermediate (On the Schuylkill River Trail)
- Fast-ish (On the Schuylkill River Trail)
All rides return to Clark Park, where you are encouraged to stick around for a picnic!
