The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is currently working on a plan to improve transportation across the state. The 12-Year Program (TYP) is Pennsylvania’s official mid-range planning tool. It lists statewide planned projects and assigns funding to projects over a 12-year period. The first four years comprise the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). We encourage you to submit comments that support safer bicycling and walking along with better transit service. The deadline for submitting comments is April 30, 2023

To Submit Projects:

Fill out the Transportation Survey:

This is a game like interface asking you how much of the state transportation budget should be allocated for things like highway expansion, transit service and active transportation infrastructure. Afterward the site will take you to a statewide map where you can pinpoint transportation problems or improvements. Some examples could be “no pedestrians are allowed to cross”, “hazardous location for bicyclists”, “need to extend the Schuylkill River Trail” or “this location needs bus service”.
