This Saturday, April 27th, is Celebrate Trails Day—the annual celebration of America’s trails. We’re kicking off the celebration with a ride that will highlight the Circuit Trails in Camden County, New Jersey. This ride series will bring you to parts of the Circuit Trails that may be new to you and give you a first look at the newly constructed segments. Additionally, we ride along trails that require local advocate support to bring connections between existing trails.

Spending time outside on your local trails demonstrates the value of these spaces to decision-makers, whose support is vital to securing funding that will build new trails and maintain those that are currently existing. The Bicycle Coalition works alongside members of the Circuit Trails Coalition who are committed to completing 500 miles of Circuit Trails by 2025, and with a little more than a year to make it happen, we need your help! You can take action today and call on your local elected officials to prioritize funding and the development of the Circuit Trails network in your county.

April 27, 2024 (Saturday) – Celebrate Trails on the Circuit: Stockton Station Park to the Cooper River Trails

Our first ride of the season highlights the growing Burlington-Camden Trail (formally the Merchantville Trail) with a stop at Stockton Park for an event on the Circuit hosted by Rails to Trails Conservancy (RTC).  We’ll begin the group ride from Franklin Square in Philadelphia, ride over the Ben Franklin Bridge and join the festivities hosted by RTC for Stockton Park Day. Before returning back to the city, we’ll ride along the Cooper River Trail. RSVP for the ride (Only 5 tickets left)!

May 12, 2024 (Sunday) – Exploring the Lawrence Hopewell Trail

Join us for a ride that will visit the beautiful Lawrence Hopewell Trail (LHT) in Mercer County! The trail links a main street business district, corporate campuses, parks, preserved open space, schools, and towns as it travels through Lawrence and Hopewell Townships in the county. The full distance of this ride is estimated at 11 miles round trip with amenities including the Pole Farm (a former relay station for international communications), a bike fix-it station, and more! We will be riding at a leisurely pace with no drops. More information & RSVP here.
