How do we bring this kind of joy to more people in Delaware County, and how do we do it quickly? These are the questions that Delaware County Council asked and answered.
In the past three years, as the Bicycle Coalition has broadened our regional capacity in advocating for the advancement of Circuit Trails across the Philadelphia region, we noted that Delaware County had fewer planning resources dedicated to this work than other counties in the region. We made these observations known to Delaware County Councilmember Elaine Schaefer, and the County responded by creating an RFP for a one-year Open Space & Trails consultant position!
