On December 10, advocates for The Circuit Trails got three wins in a single night. In Pennsylvania, Bristol Borough (photo above) and The City of Coatesville passed municipal resolutions in support of building 500 miles of The Circuit by 2025. On the other side of the Delaware River, Mercer County adopted the resolution as well.
It’s inspiring to see this level of support for cycling in the Philadelphia region. As this campaign draws to a close, Bicycle Coalition and other member organizations of the Circuit Coalition will pivot to converting this governmental support into faster trail construction, so we can meet our regional goal of creating a 750-mile network of trails by 2040.
