Vision Zero has become a major priority for Mayor Jim Kenney over the past year, and that’s because supporters and advocates all over Philadelphia made it an issue.
Announced the same week of The Bicycle Coalition’s Vision Zero 2017 Conference, Mayor Kenney’s budget dedicates $5 million for Vision Zero and we hope to encourage him to increase that amount in future years.
A three-year draft action plan was also released by the City’s Vision Zero Task Force on March 7.
This Action Plan lays out many ideas for what City agencies will do over the next three years to reduce traffic deaths and serious injuries.
But it’s a draft. Let’s suggest ways to make it stronger.

The City is looking for commentary from fellow Philadelphians and we encourage you to give it to them.
The more people who comment on the Action Plan, the stronger it will be. Please take a few minutes to read it over and submit your comments on any topic.
