Just in time for a potential SEPTA strike, we are excited to roll out a new version of our regional online bike map. We’ve optimized the map for cell phones and used a simpler background map which should help improve loading times. Here is a look at some of the features of the map:

Bike Routing Navigation – The “Plan a Bike Route” function is powered by Google Maps, you can drag the line to change the route.

Real-Time Indego Availability – We are moving from static station data to Indego’s live feed. This means you’ll have real-time bike and dock availability. New stations are automatically added as they come online.

Trail Amenities Layer – Need to find restrooms, drinking fountains, bus stops or parking on the Circuit Trails? Zoom in to find trail amenities. We even added a handful of outdoor public outlets where you can recharge your e-bike.

A big thank you to our partners at jawnt for creating the new interface and adding the new features.  The did an awesome job!  And thanks to Key Medium for making the map work on our website. Let us know what you think. If you have any questions or suggestions send me an email john@bicyclecoalition.org.

This bike map is just one of the public resources the Bicycle Coalition is able to provide thanks to the ongoing support of our Members. Today is a great day to join, renew, or make a one-time gift, because you’ll also be entered to win a brand new mountain bike, perfect for checking out your new routes.
