The Bicycle Coalition has learned that Martin Luther King Drive will be completely closed to drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists during the World Meeting of Families Weekend, September 25-27.
According to city officials, Martin Luther King Drive will be closed to all users – pedestrians, bicyclists, cars – from East Falls to Eakins Oval. This is likely how the Pope is being driven from Lower Merion to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Kelly Drive will be completely closed to cars from East Falls to Brewery Hill, but people on bicycles and pedestrians will be allowed on the whole thing.
The Schuylkill River Trail will be open in Center City between South and Chestnut Streets. It will be closed north of that.

Will MLK be closed on Friday during the day?
Makes no sense. Why are they shutting I-76, then?!?!
Thanks for posting this information! Easy to read and informative. The city should have taken a few notes from you guys.
