The Haverford Township Department of Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Haverford Trails are co-hosting their 9th annual Philadelphia Western Suburbs Trail Summit on Saturday, February 6 from 9 AM to Noon. The event will be virtual and will feature presentations on regional, county and local activities related to trails, walking and cycling.
Here’s a brief description of what to expect.
The 9th annual Trail Summit will review progress and plans and identify new opportunities to improve walking and biking and to help our communities continue to build trails and connections in the “near” western suburbs of Philadelphia. Presentations include several regional Planning and Township organizations.
The Bicycle Coalition will be kicking off the summit with a presentation on the Circuit’s 500 Miles by 2025 Campaign with trail status updates from 2020 into 2021. In addition to Circuit Trails updates, there will be a focus on trail progress in the western suburbs of Philadelphia and Delaware County.
