All good things must come to an end and the Bicycle Coalition’s happy hour series is no exception, at least for now. Our final night of beers and bikes will be taking place at The Porch Beer Garden outside of 30th Street Station on Thursday, August 6th, from 5pm to 8pm. Everyone is invited. These events have been great opportunities to kick back and make some new friends and meet others who are as passionate about cycling as we are.
Our past happy hours have helped raise money for the Coalition and we would like to thank Porch Beer Garden for being willing to generously donate a part of that night’s proceeds to us on Thursday, as well.
Our last happy hour will not be only about drinks and friends, though. This will also be the night where the winner of the #bikePHLdirt photo challenge will be announced. In order to get the word out about the fun and challenging mountain bike trails in the area, we partnered with Lone Wolf Cycling for a mountain bike photo contest.
The rules are to take a shot of yourself riding the many miles of unpaved paths outside of the city and post it on your social media with the #bikePHLdirt hashtag. You’ve got another full weekend to hit the trails before the contest officially ends on August 4.
The winner will not only get bragging rights for being the best mountain bike photographer — they’ll also be the winner of a full cycling kit from Lone Wolf Cycling.
So come out, bring your bike, your friends, and help us finish out or summertime happy hour series right!
