The Bicycle Coalition has led the movement to make the event formally known as National Bike to Work Day a bigger and broader celebration. We (along with our friends in DC, Pittsburgh and elsewhere around the country) have renamed this day because it is for celebrating anyone who rides their bike anywhere! Join us for morning Energizer Stations and group ride and press conference at Dilworth Plaza on Friday May 20! RSVP here!
Our Energizer Stations will be open 7:30-9:30am at the Penn Museum or at Cadence Cycling Centers with free Rival Bros. coffee, snacks, giveaways and gratitude for all of y’all out here pedaling for a better planet.
The group ride leaves from the Penn Museum Energizer Station around 8:15am and heads to City Hall for a Bike to Work & Wherever Day Press Conference.
So far, we have confirmed attendance from the following public officials who will either ride with us or meet us at the press conference.
- Mike Carroll, Deputy Managing Director for Transportation, Infrastructure and Sustainability
- Council Member Derek Green
- Council Member Helen Gym
- Council Member Mark Squilla
- Council Member Katherine Gilmore Richardson
- State Senator Nikil Saval
- Former Eagles player Connor Barwin

Those looking to ride are encouraged to register for Bike to Work & Wherever Day. The event is free and will help the organizers of the event know how many people to plan for.
Riders will start to gather at 8:15am at Penn Museum. We’ll roll out at 8:30 to arrive at Dilworth Plaza around 9am. You can save the date to calendar here and be sure to share the event with friends and family!
