POSTPONED – Explore the Circuit: Opening Day of Trails at Cobbs Creek
Our friends at Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, the leading organizers of all Opening Day of Trails events, have made the smart and tough decision to postpone all April 18th activities: “While much about COVID-19 is still unknown, one message has been quite clear: Social distancing is the primary way to prevent the spread of the virus. It is our responsibility as global citizens and as leaders in our field to do our part to flatten the curve and slow the spread of the pandemic.” We’ll be announcing the new date here and on social media sometime in the future.
To celebrate Opening Day of Trails, we’ll be joining the festivities at Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Center. Our ride will take us on the brand new segment of the Cobbs Creek Trail from 70th Street to the Blue Bell Inn. We’ll ride out to the ribbon cutting for the new segment at 11am, then head back to the Environmental Center, where riders are free to stay for light refreshments & the other activities happening that day.
Bicycle Coalition members: use the code MEMBERPERK20 for free admission. You can use the Member Portal to check your membership status to make sure you are eligible for complimentary admission (please use the email address where you receive Bicycle Coalition emails when you register).
Since this is a community ride, non-members are also invited to attend for free! Use code COALITIONFRIEND for complimentary admission.
This RSVP is for the bike ride only. To RSVP for the walk, the clean-up, or other activities at the Environmental Center (also all free), use this link
