On Saturday, February 6th, Friends of Haverford Trails hosted their 9th annual Philadelphia Western Suburbs Trail Summit, virtually. The summit covered updates throughout Delaware, Montgomery and Chester Counties with one collected interest to advance trail development in the western suburbs of Philadelphia.
Presenters covered trail updates for Haverford, Upper Darby, Marple and Concord Townships. Additionally, there was coverage on the Cynwyd Heritage Trail , Valley Forge to Heinz Refuge Trail and Smedley Park and Springfield Trail.
With over 80 attendees, the trail summit was a great success at bringing together those who love the trails for the 9th year. The Bicycle Coalition’s Regional Organizer, Patrick Monahan kicked off the summit with a presentation on the Circuit Trails Network and trail status for Delaware, Montgomery and Chester County.
