Transit Forward Philadelphia Advocacy Director

Yasha serves as the Advocacy Director of Transit Forward Philadelphia, a coalition of over two dozen community organizations advocating for safe, accessible, and sustainable transit improvements within the Greater Philadelphia region.

He is a National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) Transportation Justice Fellow and is invested in community efforts that empower BIPOC and low-income residents to reclaim space and take ownership and control of their own communities through dignified, fair, and effective transit and land-use policies.

 

Yasha holds a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University, focusing on transportation equity, mobility justice, and community development as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation engineering and systems planning.
