Sarah Clark Stuart
Executive Director
Sarah joined the Bicycle Coalition’s board in 2006 and the staff in 2009 before being named as Executive Director in 2015.
Her leadership led to several of the Bicycle Coalition’s key accomplishments: conceiving the proposal that led to Philadelphia and Camden winning a $23 million TIGER trail-building grant; naming and building out the Circuit; lobbying successfully for legislation mandating the inclusion of bike parking in new construction projects and Philadelphia’s Complete Streets policy; and advocating for Mayor Kenney to adopt a Vision Zero goal to eliminate traffic deaths by 2030.
Sarah has held positions with the Pew Charitable Trusts and Environmental Defense Fund and consulted for the Conservation Law Foundation and the Natural Resources Defense Council. She holds degrees from Pomona College and the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Sarah resides in the Logan Square neighborhood of Philadelphia.
