Diana Owens Steif
Operations Director
Diana’s first memory is learning to ride her pink, banana seat bike at the age of 4.
Her summer-time family camping trips were full of bike explorations throughout New England and the mid-Atlantic. Until she moved to Philadelphia, some 20 years ago, her bike stood idle as a transportation vessel. Now she is a daily bike commuter and a very amateur triathlete. Following her Masters at Drexel, Diana worked with the Fairmount Park Commission on green space initiatives, completed her tenure with the Peace Corps in Bolivia, and then found her home at the Bicycle Coalition in 2009. Her position has evolved from the Bicycle Coalition’s advocacy and education ground game to her current role as Operations Director, working mainly behind the scenes. A longtime resident of West Philly, Diana lives with her husband, son, and kitty and enjoys gardening, learning new culinary masterpieces, and hiking.
