On Friday January 8th, Rebecca Kreck, the former Chair for Bike Gloucester County gave notice that she is stepping down from the position. Rebecca wrote her goodbye and followed with an introduction to our new affiliate chair, Lea Ann Bowers on Bike Gloucester County’s Facebook page.

Many thanks were exchanged with Rebecca for all her hard work and advocacy that she has put forth over the past three years as the Bike Gloucester County Chair. Rebecca will continue to be involved as we plan our year to come. Rebecca’s account on the news is below:

It’s been a gratifying three years to see Bike Gloucester County get well established. I look forward to staying involved and continuing to advocate for alternatives to vehicular travel in the county. Thanks to everyone who volunteered and supported this chapter during my time.

The Bicycle Coalition is excited to introduce our new Affiliate Chair for Gloucester County, Lea Ann Bowers! Below is a brief bio of Lea Ann’s interests and involvement with the biking community in her home town.

Lea Ann enjoys road cycling and mountain biking in the local community. She volunteers in the Little Bellas program (mentoring on mountain bikes). She also belongs to the Mullica Hill Women’s Tri Club where she participates in aquabike races and club bike rides. When she’s not on her bike, she’s hanging out with her two boys and husband.

Looking ahead, the Bicycle Coalition and Bike Gloucester County are excited to collaborate with Lea Ann and have begun some early planning for events in Gloucester County. Stay tuned and look forward to updates as the year continues.
