On Friday, May 19th, the Bicycle Coalition, Bike Delaware County and Delaware County Transportation Management Association (DCTMA) celebrated Bike to Work and Wherever Day in the Borough of Lansdowne with a guided ride along recently completed bike infrastructure. Additional guests who joined in on the celebration included representatives from the Delaware County Planning Department, DVRPC and Drexel Hill Cycle with an e-bike demonstration!
Interested in exploring the borough’s bicycle infrastructure first hand? There are a few options to get out there to enjoy these recently completed improvements in Lansdowne. The Bicycle Coalition’s Bike Delco co-chair, James, created the 3.2 mile route that highlights the improvements and travels along low-stress roads. Additionally, Bike Delaware County will be joining the Borough of Lansdowne this Saturday, June 3rd to celebrate its founding by hosting community groups, leading a community bike ride and providing kid friendly and family activities including ice cream, games and more!
