Earlier this week, we kicked off our BCYC All Star summer season with great excitement and enthusiasm! Building on the momentum from our highly successful Spring season, where nearly 120 youth completed our 12-week program, we were thrilled to announce that 43 outstanding participants have graduated to All Star status at our Scavenger Hunt Fun Day celebration a couple of weeks ago.
These exceptional young athletes have embodied the core principles of BCYC: leadership, teamwork, and commitment. Through their dedication, they have met our attendance requirements, excelled in both written and on-bike observation tests, and consistently demonstrated positive attitudes. They have overcome challenges and fostered a spirit of camaraderie within their teams, truly earning their All Star recognition.
Our All Stars represent all of our schools and community sites that we are proud to partner with. Each All Star brings their unique perspective and energy, contributing to what will be a vibrant and dynamic summer season.
We’re excited for our youth to further hone their cycling skills under the guidance of our expert coaches by participating in our Race, MTB, and Tour teams. Our coaches bring a wealth of experience and knowledge and are ready to challenge and inspire our athletes to reach new heights in their cycling journeys. The journey with BCYC is not just about cycling; it’s about developing life skills, building confidence, and forming lasting friendships and we are excited to see how our youth continue to evolve as leaders both on and off the bike.
