Dawn Watson, 14, was crossing the street in the crosswalk with her mother at 66th and Haverford Ave was killed by a speeding hit-and-run driver. The driver was arrested two weeks later.
Dr. Barbara Friedes
Barbara Friedes, 30, chief resident at CHOP, was riding her bike in the bike lane on Spruce St in Rittenhouse Square when she was hit from behind by a drunk driver at 50 mph.
Christopher Cabrera
Christopher Cabrera, 38, was at the corner of Frankford and East Allegheny Ave waiting to cross the street when he was struck by a driver that veered onto the curb at a high rate of speed. The driver was suspected to be under the influence of drugs.
Sharrell Renae Holliday
Sharrell Renae Holliday, 49, who was in a wheelchair, was killed by a hit and run driver on Reservoir Dr in Fairmount Park.
Toby Maurice Bryant
Toby Maurice Bryant, 47, a popular barber at the Golden Comb in West Oak Lane, was killed by a hit-and-run driver driving at a high speed when crossing Ogontz Avenue.
Damien Hocker
Damien Hocker, 17, was walking home on April 17th while crossing MacDade Blvd in Ridley Park. PennDOT proposed a road diet to make the road safer for pedestrians but Ridley Park Borough rejected the proposal. His parents continue a campaign to make safety improvements on the highway.
