On December 21st, Bike Gloucester County, a Bicycle Coalition Affiliate Group, hosted their second annual holiday lights ride in Wenonah, NJ, with social distancing in mind.

Due to the challenges of hosting a social ride event in 2020, Rebecca Kreck, who planned last year’s holiday lights ride in Wenonah had to be creative to assure everyone maintained a safe distance while enjoying holiday lights in their home town.

A map was created by Rebecca with a self-guided route for riders to soak in the most festive homes along a 4.4 mile ride at their own pace. Despite the social aspect of the event being removed as much as possible, it was well received by the riders who joined.

Families rode together with their holiday lit bikes and everyone masked up with respect for one another. With such positive results from the first ride event held by BGC in 2020, there will likely be more to come in 2021.
