The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PA Turnpike) and New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) are hosting Public Meeting Open Houses for the Delaware River Bridge (DRB) project, which will improve the 70-year-old bridge, ease congestion and support a critical part of the PA Turnpike/Interstate-95 (I-95) Interchange Project.

What’s missing from the proposal is the inclusion of a Bicycle and Pedestrian Pathway to Connect the Delaware and Lehigh Trail with the Delaware River Heritage Trail. Providing safe bicycle and pedestrian access between Bucks and Burlington Counties and reducing travel times from a 90-120 minute multi-transit vehicle ride between Florence and Bristol to a 20 minute bike ride or 40 minute walk

Two in-person public meeting open houses are scheduled, along with a virtual public meeting option. The same information will be shared at all three meetings. For the in-person open houses, there will be no formal presentation. Instead, the project team will be available to answer questions.
