We need your voice! The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) is making decisions right now that will shape how transportation funding is spent in the coming years—including whether or not to invest in New Jersey’s Circuit Trails.
DVRPC is seeking public comment on their priorities—known as the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for New Jersey. The New Jersey TIP represents the region’s federally funded transportation priorities and is required by federal law in order for the Greater Philadelphia Region to receive and spend federal transportation funds. The TIP currently includes $90.88 million to advance the development of the Rancocas Creek Greenway, the Glassboro-Elk Trail, the Camden County LINK Trail, and the Johnson Trolley Trail in southern New Jersey, which represents over 40 miles of future Circuit Trails projects.
We need you to send the pre-written comment on the TIP to let DVRPC know that you support this investment. The deadline to submit comments will be accepted through August 20th at 5pm.
For more than a decade, we’ve been working together, across the region, to connect 500 miles of Circuit Trails so more people in Greater Philadelphia and southern New Jersey can safely walk, bike and be active outside. This investment could represent an enormous step forward, but we need your comments of support.
