In the ongoing fight to make Philadelphia’s streets safer, two powerful tools have emerged to provide critical insights and foster accountability: the Traffic Victims PHL Fatalities Dashboard and the newly launched Vision Zero Dashboard.

Honoring Lives Lost: Traffic Victims PHL Fatalities Dashboard 2025

Live 2025 Dashboard

PhlTrafficVictims.org, our initiative that seeks to honor victims of traffic violence, is pending an update. In the meantime, we have updated our traffic victims dashboard in time for the 2025 Vision Zero Conference. This platform provides near real-time updates from the PPD Crash Investigation Unit on traffic fatalities, mapping the locations of these tragic incidents and sharing available details to remember the lives lost. By humanizing the statistics, the dashboard serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for safer streets. C

A Data-Driven Approach: Philadelphia’s Vision Zero Dashboard

Complementing this effort, the City of Philadelphia’s Vision Zero program, in collaboration with Philly Stat 360, has unveiled a new Vision Zero Dashboard. This interactive tool highlights the city’s strategic efforts to reduce traffic deaths, focusing on the “High Injury Network”—the 12% of streets where 80% of traffic deaths and serious injuries occur. The dashboard showcases the impact of initiatives like traffic calming devices, speed cameras, and Complete Streets projects, which have already led to significant reductions in crashes and injuries.

A Call to Action

Together, these dashboards underscore the importance of a collective commitment to traffic safety. They not only provide valuable data but also inspire action—whether it’s advocating for policy changes, supporting infrastructure improvements, or simply driving more responsibly.

Explore the dashboards and join the movement to make Philadelphia’s streets safer for everyone.
