In late fall of 2021, members of the Circuit Coalition interviewed trail advocates and enthusiasts along priority trail segments throughout the region. These are folks who rely on the trails or simply enjoy the nature and connections the network has to offer.

Watch these short videos about the Circuit and what the trails mean to our neighbors and friends. You’ll be helping us keep the momentum going by learning about the growing network of Circuit Trails and spreading the word to help the Circuit Trails Coalition reach their short-term goal of 500 miles by 2025.

Want to make even more of an impact? We encourage you to send these videos to your county commissioners, asking them directly to support the Circuit Trails and advance priority projects that will be critical to completing the network. By doing so you’re building the needed support to connect your local communities, providing endless opportunities for recreation and commuting in your county.

Over the course of 2021, Congress has taken several significant actions that will send an infusion of federal funding to our state for infrastructure and economic recovery. Funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) is already flowing into cities and counties, while the recently passed bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) (H.R.3684) will soon create even more funding opportunities.

Decisions are already being made about how best to invest these resources—and we want to be sure that the Circuit Trails are prioritized for funding.

Your county commissioners need to hear from you how important the Circuit Trails are to our neighborhoods and our economy—creating new jobs, equitable and safe transportation options for everyone in our region, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Sharing your county’s video with your County Commissioner and urging them to prioritize these available funding sources to advance the Circuit Trails network is just a few clicks away. To get involved, you can access your county’s page here, then select the tab “Ask County Commissioners to Prioritize the Circuit Trails” for a pre-written letter addressed to your commissioners. We appreciate your support! You are playing an integral role in helping the Circuit Trails Coalition bring more completed miles to the region.
