We’re kicking off our 2025 Explore the Circuit ride series on the Darby Creek Trail in Delaware County! The Bicycle Coalition’s Explore the Circuit series showcases the growing Circuit Trails network throughout the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey region. This ride series will bring you to parts of the Circuit Trails that may be new to you and give you a first look at the newly constructed segments. Additionally, we ride along trails that require local advocate support to bring connections between existing trails.
April 6, 2025 (Sunday) – Explore the Circuit: Darby Creek Trails in Delaware County
Our first ride of the season highlights the future segments and recently completed segments along the Darby Creek Trail with James Bergman, Affiliate Chair with Bike Delaware County. This ride will connect most of the completed segments of the Darby Creek Trail. We’ll start at the trailhead in Havertown, ride by the historic Swedish Cabin, continue onto the new bike lane on Scottdale Road, and see some of the bike lane improvements in Lansdowne. RSVP for the ride!
Upon RSVP for the ride event, you will receive a Ride w/ GPS link for route details, event details, and any updates leading up the event. The route is estimated at 18 miles round trip. For further information or questions, please reach out to patrick@bicyclecoaltion.org.
The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia leads the movement to make every bicycle ride safe, to empower youth and adults to ride, and to foster a ridership that reflects the diversity of the region.
