The Bicycle Coalition played a key role in the design of the City of Philadelphia’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan. The plan, adopted in 2012, envisions “a Philadelphia in which walking and biking are an integral part of daily life, and vital components of a first class multi-modal transportation system.”
The plan includes “an interconnected citywide network of bikeways that will serve all neighborhoods,” and we work to expedite the building of that network and the fulfillment of that vision. You can read and download the plan here, which includes maps of all the recommended bike lanes and other bike facilities.
