It’s that time of the year where the leaves and debris accumulate in gutters, lawns, street drainage, and especially bike lanes. Join us on Monday, November 8th from 1 pm – 3 pm to clean up West Philly’s Parkside Ave bike lane.
The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia staff members and volunteers will be meeting at 53rd and Parkside Ave at 1 pm.
Please bring your own work gloves or any type of work gear (e.g. shovels, trash bags, or brooms) because we will be clearing up grim and debris of all types to clear up the bike lane for cyclists who use this lane.
We will be providing water, trash bags, some tools, and a good workout. Don’t worry if you do not have any tools, you can bring yourself and some friends because there will be plenty of work for everyone. If anything, take a bike ride to come talk bike stuff with us and get to know what’s happening next with bicycle infrastructure in Philadelphia and regionally.
Save the date: We will be cleaning up portions of the Parkside Ave. protected bike lane on Monday, November 8th at 1pm. If you want to join us, stay tuned for details.
