Ride of Silence - family of Antonio Sandoval

Two of Antonio’s sisters at the Ride of Silence on May 21st

As we have mentioned here before, Antonio Sandoval Aparecio was killed on May 10th while riding his bicycle through the intersection of 2nd and Girard.

Antonio “Chato” worked for Johnny Brenda’s and was a beloved member of multiple communities. At the Ride of Silence on May 21st, two of his sisters were in attendance.

A fundraiser to support his family is happening on June 1st at Liberty Lands Park in Northern Liberties. Local businesses will be providing food and drink for a suggested donation, and there will be live music and traditional Mexican dancers.

Sunday, June 1st

3:00 – 7:00 PM

Liberty Lands Park (3rd & Poplar, Philadelphia PA)

Suggested donation: $20

A photo album recap of this year’s Ride of Silence is up on our Facebook page.
