We’re thrilled to announce some exciting organizational updates for our Education Team as we continue to enhance and grow our programming. These changes reflect our commitment to supporting career growth within our organization while ensuring we deliver impactful initiatives to the communities we serve.

Lana Harshaw has been appointed as our new Education Director! As the primary point of contact for all things education programming, Lana will lead the charge in shaping and advancing our education efforts. She will also oversee our Education Team Managers, ensuring the seamless execution of our programs for adults and youth alike. Her vision and leadership will drive our mission forward in exciting new ways. In addition to leading our current education programming, Lana is excited to increase our impact through expanded programming targeted at elementary age youth and a new workforce readiness initiative launching in the summer of 2025!

In his new role as Education Programs Manager, Lor Song will oversee programming at our Neighborhood Bike Hubs, including the Lil’ Philly Safety Village. He will also manage the Better Bike Share Program in collaboration with Indego Bikes. Lor’s work will focus on breaking down barriers to cycling by increasing access to bikes and infrastructure for disadvantaged populations across Philadelphia. The programs that he will be overseeing are:
- Free Indego Classes and Rides (14 yrs +)
- Bartram’s Garden Bike Hub (All ages)
- Lloyd Hall Learn to Ride classes (Adults)
- Lil Safety Village in Hunting Park (kids 2 – 8 yrs of age)
Lor shared, “I am looking forward to the continued work on providing bicycle access and education for Philadelphia communities. Furthering the work our education and community team is doing by focusing on facilitating biking events that are family-focused, community-driven, and will create more ridership on Indego bikes.”

Habib Faye steps into the role of BCYC (Bicycle Coalition Youth Cycling) Manager, leading our flagship youth cycling program. Habib’s work will center on empowering young people to build healthy habits, develop leadership skills, and gain independence through the transformative power of cycling. His dedication will help shape the next generation of cyclists and community leaders.
While Habib is not new to the BCYC world he shares, “I am excited to continue working with our BCYC youth and furthering the mission of our program. I look forward to the challenge that comes with the opportunity and I look forward to success in 2025!”
