National Ride a Bike Day

Join the Bicycle Coalition, The Bicycle Club of Philadelphia, and Philly Bike Action as we kickoff National Bike Month! National Ride a Bike Day takes place on May 2nd, 2026 from 10am to 2pm along the Schuylkill River Trail, where you can enjoy a great day out on the trails with fellow cyclists. Plus, we’ll be giving away bicycle gear to riders as they ride along the trail!

Giveaway and National Bike Month Tables will be at:

– #1 Boathouse Row/Kelly Drive and Waterworks Drive (Near Lloyd Hall and Cosmic Cafe)

– Kelly Drive and Falls Bridge

– Shamont St and Nixon St

Further, at Noon on May 2 2026, a bicycle ride for all ages and abilities will roll out from the Formal Entrance to the Azalea Garden (Waterworks Dr and Fountain of the Sea Horses/Italian Fountain – below the Philadelphia Museum of Art). The group will traverse car-free MLK Dr, Falls Bridge, and Kelly Dr Path to return. Total ride will be about 1.5 hours. Helmets are required. While there is no charge to ride, bikes and helmets are available for rent.
