37th Annual Amish Country Bike Tour

Also known as “the ride for pie” this is one of the region’s favorite cycling events known for its unique character and atmosphere.

Routes of 16, 25, 50, 62, and 100 miles will leave from Legislative Mall, 411 Legislative Ave., Dover, DE, and wind through central Delaware’s peaceful (and flat!) Amish countryside. This ride is perfect for your first century!

This is not a timed event or race.

Up to 5 rest stops are included, depending upon distance: Harvest Ridge Winery (MaryDel), Painted Stave Distillery (Smyrna), Felton Little League (Felton) and Emanuel AME Church (Hartly), depending on distance, but all routes stop at the Amish Schoolhouse (Dover), where you’ll enjoy our famous, fresh, locally-baked pie.

Following the bike tour, everyone returns to Legislative Mall for your catered lunch (included in your ride purchase) from either Outlandish Food TruckThe Wandering Chef, Delaware Provisions, Chef Robbie Jester, or Taco Jardin and non-alcoholic beverages, adult beverages (with purchased tickets) entertainment with Glass Onion, DJ, merchandise sales and a variety of vendors including stretching, direct sales, sweets, crafts and cycling gear and apparel. All the extra fun (except your piece of pie and ride) is held on Legislative Mall (411 Legislative Ave) in historic downtown Dover, Delaware. Most vendors will accept credit/debit cards and cash.

Registered participants are also invited to join one of two scheduled free Club rides on Sunday following the event. Sign up during registration.

This is a fundraising event sponsored by AARPDE and benefiting non-profit Bike Delaware with a mission of creating safer walking and cycling for visitors and residents
