24th Annual French Creek Iron Tour
Cycle in the 24th Annual French Creek Iron Tour on Sunday, June 14th at the Kimberton Fire Company Fairgrounds in Phoenixville, PA!
Each June, French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust hosts the French Creek Iron Tour, a scenic bicycle ride that brings together cyclists of all experience levels to support conservation efforts across northern Chester County, PA. All proceeds from the ride directly support French & Pickering’s mission to preserve, steward, and connect people to the land.
Cyclists can choose from 7 road routes or 2 gravel routes (30% gravel). Road lengths include distances of 11, 20, 32, 50, 62, 75, and 100 miles, while gravel routes include a 60- or 80-mile option.
The Iron Tour takes cyclists through ecologically vital and historical landscapes – letting them see the land they’re helping protect. Cyclists will ride through land sprinkled with “Preserved Forever” signs, indicating permanently preserved properties that funds raised through the French Creek Iron Tour help restore and steward.
Registration includes breakfast before the ride, snacks and refreshments at various rest stops throughout the ride, and post-ride lunch, local brews and drinks, and live entertainment. We’ll also have nearly 100 volunteers stationed throughout the fairgrounds, rest stops, and in roving SAG vehicles to help cyclists throughout the ride.
Prices increase on May 1st, so we encourage folks to take advantage of Early Bird registration pricing while they can!
Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more ($5 off per rider). Please reach out to us at irontour@frenchandpickering.org to inquire. More info here: https://frenchandpickering.org/fcit/
