Saturday, May 2nd, 1pm-4pm.
BIKE TO WORK & WHEREVER DAY:
Join Independence Blue Cross, the Bicycle Coalition, Philly Bike Train and Indego to celebrate cycling as transport! We are hosting five group rides from different parts of Philadelphia, all ending at Dilworth Plaza for coffee and a press conference focusing on the need for fair access to safe, high-quality bike lanes in our city. Let’s pedal our way to a better Philly together!
Wednesday, May 13th, 8am-10am. More info + RSVP
RIDE OF SILENCE:
Every year, for more than two decades, cyclists throughout Greater Philadelphia come together to ride silently in honor of riders killed or injured by motorists. Although bicyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the public often isn’t aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of cyclists themselves. The goal of this annual, international event is to not have another ride, but to have a year with zero bicyclist deaths.
Wednesday, May 20th, 6:30pm-8pm. More info + RSVP.
HUNTING PARK HUSTLE:
Join the Bicycle Coalition for a day of family-friendly fun in Hunting Park! Experience the “Jewel of North Philly” like you’ve never seen it before — car-free! — and support our BCYC youth athletes while enjoying food, exhibition races, a community run/walk/ride, and more.
Saturday, May 30th, 8:00am-2pm. More details coming soon
AND THAT’S NOT ALL! There are plenty more rides and activities happening throughout the Region. View the full Bike Month Calendar →
