The final days of the legislative process are still ahead of us with both the House and Senate returning on Monday, December 11th. These next few session days are critical to getting our legislation over the finish line. As a reminder, the current pilot on Roosevelt Blvd expires on December 18th! If you haven’t sent an email you can do so here otherwise there are other actions you can take make your voice heard! Read on below.
Can you make a phone call and/or fax your State Senator, Majority Leader Senator Pittman, and Majority Leader Bradford urging them to prioritize passing legislation that includes expansion of the automated speed program to other Philadelphia roads?
Senator Pittman is the most important Republican Senator and Representative Bradford is the Majority Leader in the House and they are critical in shaping legislation and deciding which pieces of legislation get a final vote, so they need to hear from you in addition to your own State Senator.
The following two actions take a little time and aren’t as straightforward as sending an email; but we think they have a much bigger immediate impact. Thank you for your time!

Call Script:
Hi my name is (NAME) and I’m a constituent living in (NEIGHBORHOOD)/ (Southeastern PA– when calling Senator Pittman or Representative Bradford).
I am calling today to voice my support of making the Automated Speed Enforcement program on Roosevelt Blvd permanent and urge you to vote in favor of legislation that expands the program to other roads in Philadelphia.
- The pilot program on the Boulevard has slowed down motor vehicles by 93% and saved 36 lives since it went online in 2020.
- The State, the Philadelphia Parking Authority, and the City all agree that the program has been successful.
- The expansion of automated enforcement on roads beyond Roosevelt Boulevard is the only viable tool available to reduce speeding in Philadelphia and avoid loss of life.
Thank you for your time.
