On Tuesday February 26th, Bicycle Coalition affiliate group Bike Gloucester County held its third major event. After folks got settled in with their beers at Death of the Fox Brewery in Paulsboro, they were treated to a series of presentations from local ride organizers, Bicycle Coalition Executive Director Sarah Clark Stuart, County Engineer Vince Voltaggio, and Christopher Dochney of Consulting & Municipal Engineers.
Sarah briefly discussed Bicycle Coalition’s mission and work in the four New Jersey counties of the Philadelphia region.
Vince discussed the progress coming to the County’s trail network.
Lastly, Christopher highlighted the County’s upcoming Open Space Plan.
Each attendee received a door prize and raffle tickets for local bike shop gift cards.
We saw a lot of new faces in the crowd, and heard from many attendees about how important it was to make Gloucester County a more safe and pleasant place to walk and bike. Stay tuned to Bike Gloucester County for updates on plans for this year, which will include several fun rides as well as advocacy efforts.
