It’s official: The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia has a new podcast.

In our first episode, Bicycle Coalition communications manager Randy LoBasso and communications intern Travis Southard talk about winter bicycling, how to deal with snow in bike lanes, and the Cadence Community Bike Build, an event which will take place at the First Unitarian Church on February 28.

The podcast also features interviews with Larkin Silverman of Advanced Sports International, Sarah Stokes of Gearing Up, Taylor Kuyk-White of Neighborhood Bike Works, and Cy Maramangalam of Cadence Youth Cycling.

Listen below, and stay tuned for information on getting the Bicycle Coalition Podcast updated directly in your iTunes or whatever podcast streaming service you use.

The second annual Cadence Community Bike Build will be held at the First Unitarian Church on Sunday, February 28th.

The event brings together Fuji, SE and Breezer bikes with volunteers who will build them for several bicycling advocacy organizations in the Philadelphia Region, including Neighborhood Bike Works, Philly Pump TrackGearing Up, andCadence Youth Cycling, the latter of which is a program of the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia.

This year, Fuji, Breezer, and SE have donated 100 bikes — and all we need to do is put them together!

Want to help us build the bikes for these great causes? Show up at the First Unitarian Church (2125 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, Pa.) on Sunday, February 28, at 10am to be a part of the fun. There will be food and drinks for volunteers, and a small donation is suggested.
