Bike To Work Day 2018

Philadelphia’s annual Bike To Work Day is May 18 — and we at the Bicycle Coalition are excited to lead in this year’s ride with local bike commuters, city cyclists, and city leaders and show the world that Philly bikes!

As usual, the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia will host several Energizer Stations around the city in the morning, and a press conference at Philadelphia City Hall later in the morning, where we’ll be presenting two “Bike-Phriendly Business” awards to local companies and organizations that have made bicycling a priority in their workplace.

Hundreds of Philadelphians are expected to participate in this year’s Bike To Work Day. Biking to work saves time, money, lowers stress, is good exercise and—perhaps most importantly—is fun.

Energizer Stations

The announced energizer stations will be at the Penn Museum (33rd and South Streets), Cadence Cycling and Multisport Center (5000 Ridge Ave) with our final destination being the press conference at Dilworth Park. Other locations TBD.

Energizer station coffee will generously be provided by La Colombe!

The Bicycle Coalition put out a call for Philly’s most Bike Phriendly Business. Does your business go above and beyond to encourage employees to bike to work? If so, take a moment to nominate your workplace for the annual Bike Phriendly Business Award!

Nominations can be submitted until Wednesday, May 2, 2018. The awardee will be announced at the Bike to Work Day Press Conference at Dilworth Park.
