Schuylkill River Trail Watch
Coalition of Advocacy and Recreational Organizations Create Schuylkill River Trail Watch
SRT Watch will address problems on the Schuylkill River Trail
Philadelphia, Pa — After a recent series of incidents on the Schuylkill River Trail, Councilman Kenyatta Johnson has created a coalition of local advocacy groups to create a safer space for all Philadelphians who use the trail.
Johnson has teamed with Run 215, the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, Town Watch Integrated Services, Philadelphia Police Department, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Philadelphia Streets Department, Schuylkill River Development Corporation, Students Run Philly Style, Black Men Run, Inc., Center City Residents Association, Logan Square Neighborhood Association, Black Girls Run!, #OpenStreetsPHL, and West Philly Runners to put together a Town Watch to specifically monitor the Schuylkill River Trail.
Those who are interested in joining this group, and attending trainings, can visit SRTWatch.com, and sign up for the mailing list.
