There are three bicycle events later this evening, and we encourage you to try to get to at least one of them.

Bicycle Coalition Happy Hour

The Bicycle Coalition and Drinker’s Pub in Rittenhouse are hosting a “Give Back” Happy Hour, in which 20 percent of all proceeds will go back to the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia. There will be drink specials and $5 nachos. Come out to meet Bicycle Coalition staff, members, and advocates from around the city.

Matthew Matteson Memorial Bike Ride

There will be a Memorial Bike Ride for Matthew Marreson, who was killed by a motorist while riding his bicycle in Northeast Philadelphia on September 2, 2016.

The ride will be around 7-8 miles, beginning in Washington Square and ending at City Hall. Meet at 6pm at Southeast corner of Washington Square. Ride departs at 6:30pm. Ride will be on streets with car traffic; ride speed will be kept within 8 to 12 mph; all are invited.

Fairmount Bike and History Tour

Enjoy a bicycle tour of East Fairmount Park and its historic houses! Learn how this area, formerly a series of private estates, became one of the biggest and most famous urban parks in the world. Tour will be led by Fairmount Park experts Jason Mifflin and Rob Armstrong.

Please bring your own bike, or arrive early to rent one from Wheel Fun Rentals at Lloyd Hall. Please bring your own water and snacks. Free for members of the Fairmount Park Conservancy. $10 for non-members
